1/6-1/11

Last week in ISM, I continued my hustle in searching for a mentor. So far, I have been able to keep up with my goals of sending 2-3 emails per day and reaching out to my interviewees. I am hoping to hear some good news this week. Although I am having a tough time finding a willing mentor, I know that my efforts will pay off and I am fulfilled by knowing that I am doing my part. To assist me in my efforts, I made S. M. A. R. T. Goals to keep me on track and motivate me to keep persevering. Using this structured outline for setting goals, I was able to transform a vague idea into specific, reachable targets and strategies. This is a tool I intend to use in the future to navigate difficult tasks at hand.

This week, I will make sure to continue meeting the goal I have set for myself and keep pushing forward. In addition to my lingering quest for a mentor, I also look forward to completing my first research assessment of this semester. I will need to plan out possible topics that I can structure my final product around in order to find articles that correlate to my project and further my knowledge in an area I am curious about. I am excited to get back into researching and eager to find an intriguing article.
