MISSING PIECES & RESTFUL PRODUCTIVITY

3/2-3/15

The week before spring break, I was glad to be back in school after the winter storm. While I was lucky to have had time to complete my assignments during the previous week and did not have much to catch up on, I certainly made up for the time lost by working towards my final product. I finished compiling all my new research into a well thought-out guide and started crafting my research report. It was a bit difficult to put together all my research this semester into a seamless report that will be capable of actively engaging the reader. However, already laying out the different topics and subtopics beforehand accelerated the process of writing and organizing the report to my liking. Over spring break, I revisited my report and realized that there were some missing pieces that I would like to incorporate into my final product. This led me to dedicate most of my time to further researching neuroethics. As I perused more research articles, I found an interesting one that particularly gauged my interest. It linked the questions about human behavior and philosophical discussions in the past to modern day issues that affect social policy, clinical practice, and public discourse. This article was substantial in filling in the gaps that seemed to be present in my research before. I believe that my decision to take this extra step will pay off as it will enhance the quality and depth of my report greatly.

Even though I took a lot of time last week to make progress on my final product and was productive for the most part, it was still a very restful break. Spring break has left me rejuvenated and ready to finish off strong. This week, I intend to complete a product progress assessment that will detail the development of my product, time spent with my mentor and her impact, as well as the ups and downs I have faced and may continue to face as I near the finish line. As preparation for next week, I will also start to make a working guest list with names of people I wish to invite to final product night.
