Last week was a very eventful one. While the final days leading up to finishing my original work were undoubtedly one of the most stressful in ISM thus far, they were definitely worth it. I cannot believe that I am finally done with creating my patient guide- something that I was working towards for the entirety of the semester. Using my planning from the previous week and the knowledge I gained from all my research assessments and interviews, I was able to incorporate a wealth of information into my patient guide. The guide encompassed all aspects that I had intended for it to contain and I am very pleased with how it turned out. Additionally, I was also able to utilize my understanding of branding to elevate the quality of my original work. I used a continuous color scheme that was easy on the eyes and implemented details that made the guide visually appealing and engaging for readers. The guide truly is a culmination and reflection of all the skills and knowledge I have attained in ISM this year.

This image is the cover of my patient guide for Alzheimer’s Disease. I could have never made such an informative and organized product without the support of my ISM instructor, Ms. Penney, and all of my interviewees. Creating and reflecting on my original work has opened my eyes (even more) to my growth and development as a scholar this past semester in ISM. I intend to continue using the skills and work ethic I have gained to create a final product that I am just as proud of. This week, before Christmas Break, I am looking forward to reviewing my peers’ digital portfolios and the progress they have made this year. I can’t wait to move forward in my ISM journey and flourish in my future endeavors!
